Josephine Erin Landsberg, 12, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in Independence, MO. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306, South Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Josephine was born on October 7, 2000 in Independence, MO to James Scott and Betty Ann (Girton) Landsberg. Josephine attends the Fire Prairie Upper Elementary School in Independence, MO. She is involved in band and plays the Clarinet. Her hobbies include fishing, singing, photography, swimming and playing video games just to name a few. She is a loving daughter, granddaughter and sister that is loved by so many and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, Josephine is survived by two brothers, Michael Adkins of Independence, MO and William James Landsberg of Oak Grove, MO; two sisters, Rebekah Steffens and husband Derek of Independence, MO and Christiana Joy Landsberg of Independence, MO; paternal grandmother, Phyllis M. Landsberg; a niece Alice Adkins and a nephew, James Steffens; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Josephine was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Paul J. Landsberg and maternal grandparents, Betty Jo Tames and Theurel Leonard Girton.
