Raymond Walter Siefker

April 23, 1945 – March 10, 2023

Raymond was born on April 23, 1945 (77 Years) at Lexington Hospital to Arnold B. and Olinda (Knoche) Siefker.  He joined a brother Arnold O. and sister Lucille in Levasy, MO.  He passed away at Shirkey Nursing Home in Richmond, MO March 10, 2023.

Raymond grew up on the farm in Levasy where he lived all his life until recent years when he was unable to stay alone.  He was baptized and confirmed at Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Levasy, MO.  He graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1963 then attended a Mechanics School in Kansas City.  Raymond held various types of jobs through the years until he discovered his real love at greenhouses.  He loved working in the dirt and nurturing flowers.

Later in life Raymond lived at the Buckner Senior apartments where he reacquainted with old friends and met new ones.  He loved helping them with their flowers and repairing things for them. 

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Arnold B. and Olinda Siefker and brother Arnold O. Siefker.

Surviving family members include: Sister, Lucille (Mike) Bollinger, Napoleon and Sister-in-law Louise Siefker, Sibley;  Nephews; Chris (Pat) Siefker and Wayne (Amy) Siefker both of Sibley; Nieces; Kim (Ron) Dewey, Oakland, IA; Karen (Roger) Dieckmann, Odessa; Kay (Allen) Reynolds, Chillhowee;  Along with many Great and Great-Great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 15; Visitation beginning 10am followed by services at 11:00am at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, 206 West Old Lexington Road, Levasy, MO with interment at Buckner Hills Cemetery, Buckner MO following. 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests Memorial Contributions to Buckner Hill Cemetery, Buckner, MO or Shirkey Hospice, Richmond, MO.
