RAYMOND JOHN OLIVER
Raymond John Oliver, 80, of Lexington, Missouri, passed away August 30, 2017 at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, Missouri. Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 12:00pm at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri, with military rites. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:30am at the Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South Street, Lexington, Missouri.
Ray was born October 6, 1936 in Iola, Kansas to Elmer John and Ada Marie (Irwin) Oliver. He married Barbara Lynn Nagel on June 29, 1973 in Miami, Oklahoma. Ray served in the Air Force from 1957 until 1961 and worked as a Quality Control Foreman for Lake City Munitions Plant.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; three children, Scott Wayne Oliver of North Kansas City, Missouri, Jason Ray Oliver of Sedalia, Missouri and Jerry Douglas Nagel and wife Stephanie of Lexington, Missouri; brother, Richard Oliver of Chanute, Kansas; sister Judith Ulshafer of Minnesota; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and precious dog Sissi.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, June Oliver, daughters, Tricia Marie Collins and Tammy Lynn Nagel; and brother, Robert Oliver.
