UPDATED SERVICE DATE Ray "Butch" Henry Seitz, 82 of Wellington, Missouri passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. A graveside Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Arnold Cemetery in Wellington, MO. Memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project. St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245. Butch was born on May 30, 1939, in Wellington, MO to Eugene Henry and Ara Alvina (Fluesmeier) Seitz. In 1958 Butch was united in marriage to Vicky (Grechus) Seitz, to that union two sons were born. Butch retired from Lake City Ammunitions after 32 years of service. As a child, Butch spent many hours watching and working with his father, who was an engineer for the railroad. Throughout his life that passion continued, and Butch loved his model train sets, and was an avid train enthusiast. In addition to spending time with family and friends, he enjoyed being outdoors. Survivors include a son, Ken Seitz and wife Kelly of Napoleon, MO; six grandchildren, Magen Peterson and husband Ricky, Logan Seitz and wife Susie, Bobbie Brucken and husband Jesse, Cameron Seitz and wife Kirstie, Blake Seitz and fiancé Aleesha, and Mikayla Mershon and husband Jared; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Ray Seitz; and companion of 35 years, Barbara Dean.
