Ray Thomas Kegley, 80, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday January 29, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence, MO. Ray was born on September 10, 1935 in Marshfield, MO to George Thomas and Mary (Becker) Kegley. He graduated high school in the Kansas City area. On December 14, 1957 he married Lola Jean Kegley in Independence, MO. To this union one son was born, Thomas Andrew Kegley. They later divorced. In 1968 Ray started the Continental Pipe Co. in Odessa, MO. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Odessa, MO. He also farmed and raised cattle. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, he enjoyed traveling.
Ray is survived by a son Thomas Andrew Kegley and wife Donna of Odessa, MO; two grandchildren, Travis Andrew Kegley of Independence, MO and Sarah Ann Kegley of Kansas City, MO; a sister, Vivian Kimmer of Idaho; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
