R. Wayne Wieligman

R. Wayne Wieligman, 75, Wellington, Missouri, died April 21, 2014, at St. Lukes Hospital, Kansas City, surrounded by his family. He was born January 1, 1939, in Mayview, Missouri, the son of Raymond and Elsie Huenefeld Wieligman. On April 23, 1960, Wayne married Colleen Grechus. He is survived by his wife, four children, and seven grandchildren. They are son, Bradley and wife, Jamie Wieligman, with grandsons, Dalton and Clayton; son, Curtis Wieligman, with granddaughters, Destie and Hannah; daughter, Jan and husband, Randy Florence, with grandchildren, Victoria and Nathaniel; and daughter, Amy and husband, Tom Legate with grandson, Austin. All of his extended family lives in Wellington. Wayne was a lifelong farmer and lived with his wife in the same house for 54 years in rural Wellington. He sang with the Gospel Lovin 4 quartet for the past 13 years, with Colleen accompanying on piano. He loved to travel with her, and they have been all over the world. He attended Journey of Faith Ministries in Wellington. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2014, at St. Luke Evangelical Church in Wellington with Pastors Tom Owens and Christopher Barnes officiating. Burial in St. Luke Cemetery, Wellington. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 24 at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington, Missouri. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kids First Foundation of Wellington-Napoleon.
