PHYLLIS ANN SLAUGHTER

PHYLLIS ANN SLAUGHTER Phyllis Ann Randle-Slaughter left this earthly life at the age of 57 years old and entered into her eternal home on August 9, 2011. Phyllis was born on May 7, 1954 in Lexington, MO. She was the first of three children born to the union of the late Irvin G. and Mable Taylor-Hawkins. At an early age she accepted Christ into her life at Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church of Lexington, MO; after the closing of Zion A.M.E. she united with the United Methodist Church in Lexington. Phyllis graduated from Lexington High School in 1972 and attended CMSU in Warrensburg, MO. Phyllis was married to Edward Randle to this union two children were born. On September 2, 2006 she united in marriage to Michael Slaughter. She dedicated her career working at OOIDA in Grain Valley, MO for 22 years and was manager of the Associations Truck Insurance Department. Phyllis will be waiting to greet her loved ones she left behind, her husband, Michael, of the home, a son, Phillip E. Randle, Lexington, a daughter, Andrea J. Randle, of St. Louis, MO, a step-daughter, Jaquenae Randle-Manning, Of Indianapolis, IN. There are three, her mother, Mable Hawkins, Lexington, two sisters, Cynthia I. Bass(Kenneth), Odessa, MO; Mary Jo Hawkins, Kansas City, MO; an uncle, John E. Taylor, San Francisco, CA, a Great-Aunt Jennie Boldridge, Lawrence, KS; a foster brother, Charles Clark, Independence, MO and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Phyllis Ann Slaughter, 57, of Lexington will be held on Wednesday, August 17, at 11:00 am at the Lexington United Methodist Church, Lexington, MO. Visitation will be held at the Walker Nader Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, on Tuesday, August 16 from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Mrs. Slaughter died on Tuesday as the result on an automobile accident.
