Phillip Thomas Halsey, 55, of Mayview, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm. Saturday May 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Barker Cemetery in rural Odessa, MO. Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Jo Halsey. Phil was born on June 18, 1960 in Holden, MO to William Thomas and Mary Waunita (Martin) Halsey. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1978. Phil was retired from the Carpenters Union Local 315 in Kansas City, MO. He was currently working as a Security Guard for Powell Gardens. On October 5, 2012 he married Jo (Wynn) Halsey in Mayview, MO who survives of the home. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Phil was an avid hunter, loved raising animals and telling a good joke.
In addition to his wife Jo, Phil is survived by his mother, Mary Halsey of Lincoln, MO; two children, James Lee and Jessica Lowe and husband Chris all of Odessa, MO; and a brother Will Halsey and wife Beth of Lincoln, MO; and two nephews, Jonathan Halsey of Odessa, MO and Travis Halsey of Mayview, MO.
Phil was preceded in death by his father.
