Paula LaRae Carter

Paula LaRae (Cognard) Carter, 67, of Wellington, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Paula was born November 12, 1955, to Ronald and Joan (Epperly) Cognard. She attended Wellington-Napoleon High School. Paula was united in marriage on June 3, 1990, to Bruce Carter in Lexington, Missouri. Paula retired from her career as a Jailer for Lafayette County. She was a member of the Coca-Cola Collectors Club. Along with spending time with family and friends, Paula had a passion for collecting all things Coca-Cola, including antiques, shot glasses, playing cards, and cookies jars.

Paula is survived by her husband; Bruce Carter, two children; Marla Rogers of Wellington, MO, and Eric (Jenelle Phillips) Carter of Buckner, MO; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three nieces; one sister, Machelle (Jerry) Elmore, and many relative and friends.    

Along with both her parents, Paula was preceded in death by one daughter, Dana Rogers.
