Pat was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 17, 1940, to Harry and Margaret (Sauvageau) Goodwin. After Pat finished school, she went to work at the family pretzel bakery where she was the top pretzel twister. Pat met and married her first husband, Edward Butler, in 1959. They had three children together. Pat was happy to be a mother and housewife, until tragedy struck, and Edward was killed in a traffic accident. After Edwards death, Pat had to reinvent herself. So, with the life insurance she received, she purchased a tavern to sustain her little family. In 1978 Pat decided to move to Missouri to be closer to her brother. She settled into country life quickly and became an Avon representative for many years. Pat met and married Robert “Bob” Keller in 1985. Pat and Bob bought a mini farm where they raised chickens and emus. They opened P.B. Mouse House. This is where they raised and sold feeder mice.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Edward Butler and Robert Keller; two brothers, Edward Legenski and Harry Goodwin; and one sister, Eileen McHenry.
Pat is survived by two sisters, June Stoughton of Philadelphia, PA and Maryanne (Dan) Munyan of Pitman, New Jersey; three children, Theresa (Kenny) Wood of Independence, MO, Anette Soldanels of Warrensburg, MO, and Edward (Amie) Butler, of Odessa, MO; four grandchildren, Kellyanne (Cody) Petty, Sarah (Brian) Graber, Tony (Amanda) Butler, and Malakai Butler; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
