Pamela Ann (Schwindt) Hughes, 71, of Wellington, Missouri passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri.

Pamela was born on February 25, 1950, to James and Mary (Almond) Schwindt in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1968 in Overland Park, KS. On September 11, 2002, Pamela was united in marriage to Garry Hughes in Lexington, MO. He survives of the home. She worked as a clerk for the Lafayette County Bank in Wellington, MO for several years before working at the United States Post Office in Wellington, MO. In addition to spending time with family and friends Pamela enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling, collecting cookbooks, and was an avid Chiefs fan.
In addition to her husband, survivors include six daughters, Susan Johnson (Brian) of Lee’s Summit, MO, Sarah Helm (Nathan) of Liberty, MO, Melanie Bland (Joshua) of Lee’s Summit, MO, Patricia Bredemeier (Joey) of Kansas City, KS, Sarah Schwermer (Zack) of Lenexa, KS, and Elisabeth Gates (Stuart) of Napoleon, MO; five grandchildren, Arthur Helm, Aubrey Helm, Eric Schwermer, Lillie Gates, and Schyler Gates; two sisters, Cindy Hastings of Linn Valley, KS and Brenda Taylor (Ira) of Kansas City, MO; and many relatives and friends.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Christina Hughes.
