Opal Helen Spease

Opal Helen Spease, 87, of Lexington, MO died Friday, December 31, 2010 at Lexington Care Center. Opal Helen Bush was born March 6, 1923 in Concordia, MO, the daughter of Fred Allen and Lily Barker Bush. She married Roscoe E. Spease on July 31, 1938 in Lexington, MO. Opal was a homemaker and a member of Solid Rock Fellowship Church. Mrs. Spease is survived by six children: Donald E. Spease and wife, Sandy, Lexington; Larry E. Spease and wife, Joyce, Lexington; Shirley Ann Schwartz Independence, MO ; Georgia Price and husband, Gary, Higginsville, MO; and Linda Carol Dailey and husband, Mike, Peculiar, MO. and Kenneth Spease and wife, Betty, Dodge City, Ks. One brother also survives: Clifford Bush and wife, Vicky, Pleasant Hill, Mo. There are 20 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe, on February 22, 1987, her parents, a son, Gary Allen Spease, five brothers and three sisters. Services will be 2 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Solid Rock Fellowship Church in Lexington. Burial in Lexington Memory Gardens. Visitation 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service at the church. Memorials to the church.
