Olga Skillman, 85, of Lexington, MO passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her home. Olga Melnick Skillman was born February 11, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Michael and Balbina Jakabowski Melnick. She married Richard Skillman on September 15, 1945, he preceded her in death on November 30, 2000. Mrs. Skillman was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Lexington. She had been a clerk at the Vincent Shoe Store and the Ben Franklin Store in Lexington. She had also been a Records Keeper at the hospital and had also worked as a housekeeper. Mrs. Skillman is survived by a son, Richard �Charlie� M. Skillman and wife, Mona, of Lexington. Two grandsons, David Skillman and wife, Jennifer, Lenexa, KS and Devin Skillman and wife, Cara, Liberty. One great-granddaughter, Sophia Belle Skillman. One sister, Dorothy Lake, Metuchen, NJ. Three nieces and six nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Olga was preceded in death by two brothers, Peter Melnick and Michael Melnick, and a sister, Sophia Feight. Services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lexington.
