Norma Louise Nevels

Norma Louise (Disney) Nevels, 92 of Grain Valley, Missouri formerly of Mayview, MO passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Monterey Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family.

Norma was born on November 26, 1932, in Appleton City, MO to Norman and Ella “Fern” (Haden) Disney. She graduated from Mayview High School in 1950. Norma was a member of First Baptist Church in Mayview. On June 14, 1953, Norma was united in marriage to George Robert “Bob” Nevels in Mayview. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2001. Norma retired as a clerk for the IRS. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Norma enjoyed reading and puzzles. 

Norma is survived by two sons, Dennis (Linda) Nevels of Grain Valley, MO and Randy (Rebecca) Nevels of Lee’s Summit, MO; six grandchildren, Matthew (Christina) Nevels and Daniel Nevels, both of Lee’s Summit, MO, Jennifer (Joe) Missey, Tiffany (Roger) Lane, Kristen Nettles-Duckworth, and Dustin Nettles, all of Grain Valley, MO; 13 great grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. 

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
