Norbert George Hill

Funeral services for Norbert Hill, 86 of Waverly, MO will be held on Tuesday , October 4, 2011 at 10:30 am at the Waverly Baptist Church, Waverly, MO. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at the church from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be in the Waverly Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lafayette County Cancer Coalition, the Lafayette County Visiting Nurses Association or the Waverly Baptist Church. Mr. Hill died on Friday, September 30 at his home. Norbert George Hill was born July 16, 1925 at Alma, Missouri to Christ and Ida Schmidt Hill. Mr. Hill was an Army Veteran serving in WWII and the Korean War. During the Korean war. Mr. Hill was the recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Norbert Hill married Norma Jean Hollis on January 8, 1953 in Blackburn, MO. Mr. Hill had been a lifelong farmer in the Waverly area. He was a member of the United Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean, of the home. There are 3 children, Gerald Hill and wife Randi Kay, Baldwyn Mississippi, Connie Sue Hill, Marshall and Kevin Hill Warrensburg, MO. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Nathan Hill , Warrensburg, MO; and Janna Viebrock and husband, Brent Green Ridge, MO; and one great granddaughter, Lilyan Viebrock. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Edgar and three sisters, Mildred Boehmer, Lolita Boehmer and Velma Cramer.
