Nellie Katherine Teichman

Nellie Katherine Teichman, 93, of Lexington passed away January 15, 2022, at Meyer Care Center, Higginsville. There will be a private family service and burial at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Church of Christ. Nellie was born April 6, 1928, in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, to Theodore and Fannie Marie (Riggs) Mehrer. On October 3, 1950, she married Charles Frederick Teichman in Pleasant Hill. Nellie was a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, the Women’s Circle, and Burns School Club. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, dancing, playing cards, and watching her grandkids.

Survivors include her children, John Teichman (Debby) of Las Vegas, Bob Teichman (Kathy) of Lexington, and Margaret Lawrence (Cary Beal) of Lexington; grandchildren, Jennifer Kerr (Jerr) of Lexington, Brent Teichman (Molly) of Warrensburg, Hilary Rider (Darryl) of Odessa, Charles “Chas” Teichman (Leslie) of Lexington, and Anna Teichman of North Kansas City; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; and siblings, JoAnn Drewel, Roselle Leimkuehler, Betty Jameson, Virginia Becker, Carl Mehrer, Hermann Mehrer, Frank Mehrer, and Johnnie Mehrer.
