Nellie Myrtle (Starkebaum) Logue, 93 of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, MO surrounded by family.

 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2022, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 S. St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Memorial Park in Lexington, MO.  Memorials are suggested to the Lexington Senior Center.  Memories of Nellie and condolences for her family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page. 

 

Nellie was born on September 1, 1929 in Lexington, MO to Clarence and Violet F. (Lewis) Starkebaum.  She attended Locust Grove rural grade school and graduated in the class of 1947 from Lexington High School.  On March 28, 1948, she was united in marriage to Warren R. Logue at Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church in Lexington.  Nellie worked for Dunhill Shirt Co. which later became Dunbrooke.  She retired in 1994 as the accounts payable clerk after 30+ years

 of service.  Nellie was Baptized and Confirmed at Trinity E&R and later became a member of Dover Christian Church.  She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 4052 in Lexington, Locust Grove 4-H Club, Leader of Fairview 4-H Club, and Locust Grove Community Club.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Nellie enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and her yearly trips with Warren to Branson for the Chejudo Army Reunion.  They attended for 35 years.

 

Survivors include two children, Marsha Corbin of Dover, MO and Loren Logue and wife Connie of Lexington, MO; four grandchildren, John Corbin, and Neil Corbin, both of Dover, MO, Kellie Logue of Republic, MO, and Ryan Logue and wife Katrina of Belton, MO; and a niece, Loy Holman of Texas.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, Nellie was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Kent Corbin and a lifelong friend, Betty Hursman.
