Nancy Louise Legate

Nancy Louise Legate, 85, of Lexington, passed away January 31, 2022 at her home. Visitation will be from10:30 until 11:30 am, Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home. A funeral service will also be on Tuesday at the funeral home at 11:30 am. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville. Nancy was born April 22, 1936 in Lafayette County to Harry and Nancy (Shutt) Schroeder. She graduated from Lexington High School. On December 4, 1953, Nancy married Walter Legate in Lexington. She worked in customer service for many years and was a devout Christian. Nancy enjoyed her grandchildren's activities, sporting events and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Gary Legate and wife Barb of Lee's Summit, David Legate and wife Merrin of Dallas, Texas and Karen Carter and husband Phillip of Harrisonville; grandchildren, Lauren Legate, Austin Legate and wife Kalea, Christy Spellman, Pamela Dye, Lainey Legate-Presley and husband Brayden, Levi Legate and Brenna Legate; great grandson, Elijah Boyd and several nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter on February 22, 2019, and three brothers.
