Myrna “Sue” (Dahler) Keasler, 86, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at The Parkway in Blue Springs, MO.

 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2022, from 6:00 p.m., to 8:00 p.m., at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2022, at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, 12507 Mt. Tabor Rd., Odessa, MO, 64076.  Interment will be in the Odessa Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the Odessa R-7 Special Education Department.  Memories of Sue and condolences for her family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page. 

 

Sue was born on August 14, 1936, in Boonville, MO to Otho Lee and Marguerite (Howard) Dahler.  She graduated in 1952 from Mt. Vernon Township Highschool in Mt. Vernon, IL.  Sue attended The University of Oklahoma and majored in music and education.  Sue was the 1956 Homecoming Queen at The University of Oklahoma.  She worked for AT&T in Dallas, Texas before moving to Odessa.  On April 6, 1986, she married Robert Thomas Keasler in Ft. Worth, TX.  He preceded her in death.  Sue worked 10 years for the Odessa School District as a Paraprofessional.  For the last 14 years, Sue has spent her time traveling the country with her partner for life John King.  They have enjoyed the Municipal Opera in St. Louis and many horse shows and competitions in Canada.  Sue was a devoted member of the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church.  She will be missed and remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. 

 

Survivors include her partner for life, John King of Odessa, MO; two children, Scott Snell and wife Ann of Richardson, TX and Lisa Vladyka and husband Penrod of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren, Stephen, Michael, Evan, and Landan; and a niece and three nephews, Megon, Don Jr., Erik, and David Dahler.

 

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Donald Lee Dahler.
