Monte William Lauderdale, 75 of Lexington Missouri, passed away on March 9th, 2025 at NKC Hospice. Monte was born September 29, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri the son of James G. Lauderdale and Lois "Dankers" Lauderdale. Monte graduated from Wenworth Military Academy High School in 1967 then graduated from Wentworth Military Academy Junior College in 1969.

Monte married Ruthie Lemler Lauderdale on April 28, 1973, at Higginsville, Missouri. Monte worked as Director of Operations and Distributions for Dunbrooke Manufacturing for 37 years before retiring in 2008. Monte especially loved hunting, fishing, camping, and training his dogs for field trials.

Monte was the former chairman and board member of Wentworth Military Museum, he served as president of the Lexington Historical Association, was a member of the Lexington Rotary Club and Lexington Lions Club. Monte served as a board member for the 4Life Center and the Margaret Gray Center. He was the former president and board member of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce. Monte and Ruthie volunteered their time and were involved in numerous community activities.

Monte is survived by his loving wife, Ruthie Lauderdale and their three kids with paws, his brother, Dankers Lauderdale (Chuck), his brother-in-laws, Harold Lemler (Nancy), Larry Lemler, two nieces, a nephew and several cousins. He was proceeded in death by his parents, James W. Lauderdale and Lois Dankers Lauderdale, and his grandfather Henry Dankers.

Monte's services are being handled by Ledford Family Funeral Home, 1720 South Street, Lexington Missouri 64067.Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lexington. Memorial donations in Monte's memory may be directed to Lexington Historical Association, The Lexington 4Life Center, Margaret Gray Center, or Wentworth Military Academy Museum.
