MILDRED LOUISE HULVER BURNS Mildred Louise Hulver Burns, 88, of Lexington, MO passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in Lexington. Mildred Louise Hulver was born August 9, 1922 in Lexington, MO, the daughter of Harvey and Mildred Barron Hulver. She married Charles E. Burns September 14, 1947. He preceded her in death on September 15, 1997. Mrs. Burns was a member of Lexington First Christian Church. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1941. In November, 1946 she was employed by Attorney H. Townsend Hader and worked for him until 1974 when he was appointed Magistrate Judge of Lafayette County. She was his Clerk in the Associate Circuit Court until his retirement in August, 1980. John G. Miller was appointed Associate Circuit Judge in August, 1981 and she remained his Clerk until her retirement on July 1, 2004. Mildred is survived by a daughter, Carol A. Burns-Scanlan, and husband, Pat, of Blue Springs, MO. Grandsons: Chad Ashley Bell, Excelsior Springs, MO, and Dustin Wayne Bell, and wife, Diane, of N. Kansas City, MO; a granddaughter, Kendal T. Holder, Castle Rock, CO; a grandson, Kirk T. Holder, Winter Springs, FL.; two brothers: Wallace Hulver, and wife, Billie, Lexington and Harvey W. Hulver, Butler, PA and a sister: Beverly Moss, Grand Lake, OK. There are five great-grandchildren. Her son, Donald Eugene Holder preceded her in death in March, 2004. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, MO. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Charles Lyons Memorial Scholarship Fund or the Margaret Gray Senior Center.
