Mildred Margaret (Mansell) Braxdale, 82, of Wellington, Missouri passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at home surrounded by family.
The Family Will Host a Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 224 Vine St. Wellington, MO, 64097, with Pastor Dave Updegrave officiating. A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday February 24, 2017 at the Church. Inurnment in the Odessa Cemetery will take place at a later date. Mildred was born on December 9, 1934 in Napoleon, MO to Robert and Edna F. (Hergemuller) Mansell. She married James L. Braxdale on March 2, 1956 in Wellington, MO. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Henrietta, MO. Mildred was a member of the World Changers Organization. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Mildred enjoyed traveling, camping, sewing, crafts and riding motorcycles.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Braxdale and wife Tina and Scott Braxdale and wife Linda, both of Wellington, MO; five grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, John Mansell and wife Diane of Napoleon, MO, Russell Mansell of Odessa, MO; four sisters, Dorothy Schnittker of Lexington, MO, Louise Campbell and husband David of Salem, Arkansas, Vera Breuer and husband Gerald of Napoleon, MO and Judy Crowley and husband Ray of Napoleon, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by two brothers, Jake Mansell and Frank Mansell; and one sister, Mary Johnson.
