Mickey Simnitt

Mickey Begemann Simnitt died on August 31, 2018. She was born the oldest child to Alvin "Fred" and Dorothy (Claunch) Begemann on February 7, 1954. She and Scott Simnitt were married January 28, 1977 and had one daughter, Jean. Mickey is survived by her husband, Scott, of the home; daughter, Jean, and son-in-law, Dustin Holloway of Lees Summit; mother, Dorothy Begemann; sister-in-law, Vicky Begemann; sister Shelly Brock and husband Larry, all of Lexington; brother, David and wife, Sara, of Blue Springs; five nieces and four nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Beth Simnitt; nephew Shane Simnitt and wife, Rhonda, all of Lexington; nephew Bryce Simnitt and wife, Missy, of Kansas City and three additional great nieces and one great nephew. She was preceded in death by sister, Tamorah Steele; father, Fred Begemann; brother, Fritz Begemann; father-in-law, Howard Simnitt; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lonny and Diane Simnitt.

Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Christ Church, 13th and Franklin, Monday, September 3, 2018. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Christ Church. No flowers, but memorials may be made to Christ Church.
