Michael Bernard Caine

Michael Bernard Caine, 80, of Columbia, Missouri formerly of Odessa, MO passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, MO surrounded by family.

 

Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022, at St. George Catholic Church, 716 S. 3rd St., Odessa, MO, 64076.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Church.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m., at the church.  Inurnment will be in the Greenton Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the Greenton Cemetery Association.  Memories of Michael and condolences for his family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ralph O. Michael was born on August 15, 1942, in Kansas City, MO to Vincent Bernard and Inez Ripley (Nation) Caine.  He graduated from Odessa High School in Odessa, MO and went on to attend Central Missouri State University.  Michael served in the Army National Guard from 1964 to 1970.  On May 23, 1964, Michael was united in marriage to Joyce Bernice Barker in Lexington, MO.  He was a member of St. George Catholic Church in Odessa and since moving to Columbia became a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Michael retired from Ford Motor Company in 1994 after 31 years of service.  He was a member of UAW Local 249.  Michael enjoyed watching his boys play sports, he coached their little league teams.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Michael enjoyed bowling and was a member of several leagues throughout his life, playing Keno, and shooting pool.  

 

Michael is survived by his wife, Joyce Caine of Columbia, MO; two sons, Jeffery A. Caine and wife Stephanie of Overland Park, KS and Gregery A. Caine and wife Tabatha of Ashland, MO; six grandchildren, Kelsey Caine, JR Caine, Elizabeth Caine, Nicole Caine, Lauren Patton, and Jenna Patton; three sisters, Cathy Bruner of Bonham, TX, Laurina (Lolly) Ford of Bates City, MO, and Martha Meyer of Grain Valley, MO; one brother, Patrick Caine of Grain Valley, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

 

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ross Alan Caine; and a granddaughter, Kodi Joy Caine.
