Mateo Ernesto Morgan, 33, of Mayview, Missouri passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Odessa City Cemetery. Mateo was born on January 12, 1981 in Independence, MO to Matthew Wayne Morgan and Beth Ann (Dooley) Smith. He graduated from the Student Success Center in Lexington, MO in 1999. He was currently working for the WinCup Factory in Higginsville, MO as a Print Foreman. On May 7, 2012 he was united in marriage to Christin Dawn (Michael) Morgan in Odessa, MO. Mateo was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, bonfires, fireworks and being outdoors. Mateo was an excellent handy man and will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Christin Dawn Morgan of Mayview, MO; three children, Alexandra Osborne, Autumn Michael and Felix Morgan, of Mayview, MO; a father, Matthew Morgan and wife Marie of Odessa, MO, Mother, Beth Ann Smith of Bates City, MO; six brothers, David Morgan, of Odessa, MO, Miguel Morgan of Odessa, MO, Nico Morgan of Kansas City, MO, Tom White of Kansas City, MO, Mitchell White of Washington State and Marcos Smith, Bates City, MO; two aunts, Merry Kremer of Orrick, MO and Claudia Shirk and husband Dan of Odessa, MO; Uncle, John Morgan of Odessa, MO; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mateo was preceded in death by his grandparents.
