Mary Lucille (Bitsy) Williams, 75 of Lexington, Missouri formerly of Higginsville, MO passed away on Thursday, December 03, 2015 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524 with Elder Earl Eggert officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Margaret Gray Center in Lexington, MO. Mary was born on August 2, 1940 in Higginsville, MO to Bernard B. (Red) and Lucille (Poisal) Beck. She married Wendell W. Williams on August 3, 1957 in Dover, MO. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2008. She retired from the Higginsville Habilitation Center where she worked for 30 years as a Developmental Assistant. Mary was Catholic by faith. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed traveling, dancing, bird watching and reading.
Survivors include four children, Anthony Williams and wife Greta of Lee’s Summit, MO, Lionel Williams and wife Kathy of Sibley, MO, Darin Williams and wife Nancy of Higginsville, MO and Craig Williams and wife Elizabeth of Lexington, MO; eight grandchildren, Melissa Thornton, Valerie Wiskur, Allen Williams, Clifton Williams, Blake Williams, Nathan Williams, Emily Williams and Derek Williams; one great grandchild, Braylon Wiskur; three sisters, Bernice Jones of Warrensburg, MO, Kathy Bedford and husband Harvey of Higginsville, MO and Rosie Correll and husband Laverne of Higginsville, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a son Brian Williams; one brother, Bernard F. (Sonny) Beck; and one sister, Frances Stripling.
