Mary “Pauline†Tilly, 91, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Odessa, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral Home. Burial will be in the Greenton Cemetery. Mary was born on September 17, 1922 in Grain Valley, MO to Minor L. and Marie Ethel (Keck) Cooper. In 1938 at the age of 16 she graduated from Grain Valley High School as the Salutatorian. On March 22, 1941 Mary was united in marriage to Harvey A. Tilly in Independence, MO. After 58 years of marriage, Harvey preceded her in death on June 29, 1999. She was a hard working farmer’s wife, taking care of the home and family. Mary was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Odessa. Her hobbies include crocheting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her friends and most of all her grandchildren and family.
Survivors include two children, Sharon Fizer and husband Ray of Odessa, MO and Darold Tilly and wife Cheryl of Odessa, MO; five grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson and husband Dale, Angela Gregson, Paula Hawk and husband Paul, Sheri Beissenherz and husband Brian; Kevin Tilly; eight great grandchildren, Brian Wilson and wife Emily, Geoffrey Wilson and Fiancé Sam Russell, Emily Gregson, Jackson Hawk, Carter Hawk, Olivia Hawk, April Beissenherz and Blaine Beissenherz; two great great grandchildren, Ean Wilson and Zoe Wilson.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Claudine Goza.
