Mary Elizabeth Thurmon

Mary Elizabeth Thurmon, 79, Yukon, Oklahoma, formerly of Lexington, Missouri, passed away March 6, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 2:00pm at Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Visitation will also be on Sunday at the funeral home beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will be in the Wellington City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Guide Dog Foundation, the American Cancer Society or Whiz Kids of Oklahoma.

Mary Beth was born May 31, 1938 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri to Charles and Irene Dolley. She married Donald Cecil Thurmon. He preceded her in death in 2008. She was an elementary and high school teacher in Lexington and Lawson. Mary Beth also worked for Job Corps and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of the Lawson United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Charles and wife Mary of Gladstone, Missouri and John and wife Kristie of Edmond, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and two sisters in law, Mary Lou Thurmon and Pat Thurmon, both of Wellington. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her daughter.
