Mary Louise Sullivan, 75, of Independence, MO formerly of Bates City, MO passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at home.

Mary was born on June 18, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland to Edgar Posey and Mary Ida (Durham) Montgomery. She belonged to the Jarrettsville Vol. Fire Dept. where she was president of the Ladies Auxiliary and taught CPR/led emergency response drills. She attended the University of Maryland, where she received her nursing degree. Mary worked as a surgical nurse for many years. She was Christian by faith. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Mary was an avid book reader and pet lover.
Survivors include a companion, Dennis Ferraiuolo of Independence, MO; a sister, Peg Beasley of Kuna, Idaho; two sons, George H. Yost, III (Susan) of Glen Burnie, Maryland, and Edgar D. Yost (Dawn) of Pasadena, Maryland; grandchildren: Stephen, Em, Andrew, Dima, James, George (IV)Yost; great grandson Austin; and a special friend Randall Wheeler of Independence.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson Charles Brown.
