Mary Lorraine (Walker) Leavelle

Mary Lorraine (Walker) Leavelle, 58, of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at home surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m., to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Lexington Food Pantry.  Memories of Mary and condolences for her family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page. 

Mary was born on August 30, 1964, in Kansas City, MO to Noah Jay and Ruby (Williams) Walker.  She graduated from Blue Valley High School in Stilwell, Kansas.  Mary graduated from MidAmerica Nazreen University in Olathe, KS with a degree in Computer Programming.  On October 21, 2000, Mary was united in marriage to Lawrence Kirk Leavelle in Wellington, MO.  She owned and operated a cleaning business in Lexington.  Mary was known for a caring and giving heart, she volunteered countless hours with the Lexington Food Pantry and serving as a leader for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in Lexington and Wellington.  In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Mary enjoyed crafting. 

Mary is survived by her husband, Kirk Leavelle of Lexington, MO; two sons, Jay Whitney, and Lawrence Kirk Leavelle, Jr., both of Lexington, MO; two grandchildren, Jace Whitney and Hayes Whitney; three sisters, Charlene Lee of Boonville, MO, Bonita Walker of Lexington, MO, and Debbie Simpson and husband Bruce of Kansas City, KS; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a son, Kendall David Whitney; two sisters, Carolyn Colburn and Jeanette Smith; and one brother, Roy McKenny.
