Mary Marceline Jeffery, 81 of Bates City, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Marceline was born on October 16, 1936 in Jamestown, Missouri to Eugene H. and Dorothy (Fisher) Zey. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1954. On July 29, 1956 she married Forrest O. Jeffery in California, MO. Marceline retired from Harman Electronics after 20 years of service. She was a member of the St. George Catholic Church and taught Sunday School.
Marceline is survived by her husband, Forrest Jeffery of Bates City, MO; three children, Robert "Bob" Jeffery and wife Kim of Odessa, MO, Mark Jeffery and wife Teresa of Independence, MO and Bryan Jeffery and wife Melissa of Odessa, MO; a daughter-in-law, Regena Jeffery of Odessa, MO; 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law Jim Baker of Washington; eight brothers, Kenny Zey of Odessa, MO, Hubert Zey of Wichita, KS, Claude Zey and wife Myrene of Lincoln, MO, Mike Zey and wife Susie of Wooldridge, MO, Richard Zey and Karen Hooper of Gladstone, MO, John Zey and wife Alice Greife-Zey of Warrensburg, MO, Bob Zey and wife Melody of Columbia, MO and Steve Zey and wife Mindy of Blue Springs, MO; three sisters, Ruth Ann Whittenberger of Columbia, MO, Carol Beth Mills and husband Tom of Blue Springs, MO and Michelle Zey-Burnam and husband Danny of Odessa, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marceline was preceded in death by a son, Doug Jeffery.
