Mary Ellen Peek

Mary Ellen Peek, 84, of Lexington, MO passed away on August 1, 2011 at 5:05 p.m. She was born December 26, 1926 in Marshall, MO, the daughter of Joe and Retta Merchant Dugger.. In 1941 she married Glen Looney who passed away in 1992. She married Mark Peek on June 10,1979. Mr. Peek preceded her in death in 2002. Mary was a member of the Lexington First Baptist Church, the Order of Eastern Star 248, V.F.W. Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, and a life member of D.A.V. Auxiliary. Mrs. Peek is survived by three children: Glen �Bo� Looney and wife, Judy, of Olathe, KS; Jack Looney and wife, Katie, of Kearney, MO; and Linda Sloan of Kearney, MO. A sister, Betty Buck and husband, Don, of Topeka, KS. Two step-daughters: Kizann and husband, Chris Wendinmann, of Shawnee, KS and Nettie and Roy Carpenter, of Raymore. There are 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren surviving as well as several nieces and nephews. Services will be 12 noon, Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home. Burial in Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or the Eastern Star 248.
