Mary Jane DeAtley

Mary Jane (Wilson) DeAtley, 83 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at home surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2^nd St., Odessa, MO, 64067, 816-633-5524.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Greenton Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the Greenton Baptist Church or Phoenix Hospice.  Memories of Mary Jane and condolences for her family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.

Mary Jane was born on January 28, 1939, in Richmond, MO to Thomas Woodrow and Emma Ida (Clester) Wilson.  She graduated in 1957 from Odessa High School in Odessa, MO.  On August 31, 1985, Mary Jane was united in marriage to Burnis Dale DeAtley in Odessa.  In 2013 he preceded her in death.  Mary Jane retired in 2002 after 24 years of service from Harmon/GE Industries in Grain Valley, MO where she worked as an inspector in receiving.  She was a member of Greenton Baptist Church.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Mary Jane enjoyed traveling with Dale and attending and supporting her grandchildren at sporting event and other activities.

Survivors include three children, Rhonda Kaye Smith and husband Neil of Odessa, MO, Sandy Leigh Hon and husband Dennis of Odessa, MO, and Kevin DeAtley and wife Janna of Big Bear, California; ten grandchildren, Monica Garcia and husband Christian, Jason Ostermeyer and wife Carrie, Christopher Kirk, Stefanie Hon, Michelle Likes, Amanda Hamer and husband Ryan, Megan Watkins and husband Robert, Josh Sliffe and wife Amy, Brenden DeAtley and wife Jenna, and Zachary DeAtley and fiancé Lorene Connors; 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Jane was preceded in death by three children, Leo Bryan LaMatry, Jacqueline Gayle Coy, and Roger Dale DeAtley; and two brothers, Norris Wilson and Robert Lee Wilson.
