Mary LaDean “Deanie” McLallen, 76, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday May 12, 2016 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery In Higginsville, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday May 11th, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076 (816)633-5524. Memorials may be made to the Veterans Administration.
Mary LaDean Stowell was born October 2, 1939 to Benjamin Arthur and Mary Omega Ashcraft Stowell. Deanie married Lester Lee ‘’Red’’ McLallen on June 3, 1970 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Deanie had worked and retired from St. Mary’s Hospital, Blue Springs for 20 years as a dietician. She was currently working in the cafeteria at the Odessa Upper Elementary School.
Deanie is survived by her husband of the home. A daughter Sabra Norman and Husband Curtis of Blue Springs, and a son Matthew Crane of Blue Springs, a daughter, Vickie Gunn and husband Norman of Bates City. There are six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters Millie Murdock, Sibley, Kay Redmon, Independence, and Twylia Ross, Sibley. Deanie was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Arthur, Roy, and Cyril.
