Mary Cecille Block, 90, of Wellington, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home on August 25, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Mary was born September 19, 1930 to Bill and Dora (Westerman) Beining. Mary was a member of St. Luke Evangelical Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and helped with Bible School. She was a volunteer at Wellington Napoleon Elementary School. Mary was a 50 year member of Nap-Well Homemakers Extension Club.
On April 3, 1951 Mary married Howard Block, they celebrated 70 years of marriage. They had three sons.
She is survived by her husband, Howard, of the home; sons, Steve (Joyce), Chris (Janet) and Jeff, all of Wellington; a sister, Bertha (Bert) Payne of Liberty; grandchildren, Jeremy Block, Amy (Scott) Osborn, Jennifer Paige, Brandon (Beth) Block, Jessica Block, Miranda Block (Joseph) and Matthew Block; and great grandchildren, Kiera Paige (Austin), Alex Osborn, Keatyn Paige, Molly Osborn, Adam, Isaiah and Sophia Block and Braytton Block.
A funeral service will be Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Luke Evangelical Church, Wellington. A visitation will also be on Saturday at the church from 9:30 until 11:00 am. Burial will be in St. Luke Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to St. Luke Evangelical Church in Wellington. Memories and condolences may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com.
