MARLENE JEANNE STRODTMAN
Marlene J. Strodtman, 81, of Napoleon, MO passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Lafayette Regional Health Center, Lexington, MO. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 29, 2016 at St. Paul Church in Napoleon, MO. Burial in St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, May 28, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, MO. Memorials may be made to Steppingstones Auxiliary.
Marlene Gabler was born September 17, 1934 in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Reverend Carl E. Gabler and Mable Dorothy Marie Hansen Gabler. She married James Strodtman on September 10, 1955 at Napoleon, MO. Marlene was a member of St. Paul Church. She received the Women in Agriculture award in Washington, D.C. in 2000 and was the Federated Republican Women of Lafayette County Honoree in 2013. Marlene was President of Steppingstones Auxiliary in Independence, MO. Marlene had been the organist at St. Paul Church for 50 plus years.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Jim, of the home. Children: Mark Strodtman and wife, Cindy, O'Fallon, MO and Cindy Thieman and husband, Terry, Lamar, MO. A brother, Ken Gabler and wife, Helen, St. Joseph, MO. Four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
