MARLENE KAY OETTING

Marlene Oetting, 75, of Lexington, MO passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at her home in Lexington. Services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Grace Lutheran Church, Lexington. Visitation for Marlene will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm at the Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lexington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Cancer Society for Ovarian Cancer Research.


Marlene Kay Stigall was born on July 30, 1941 to John "Doc" and Doris Sexton Stigall in Henrietta, MO. She married Erwin "Sonny" Oetting, Jr. on September 4, 1960 in Lexington, Mo. Marlene was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. Her life revolved around spending time with her entire family. She made a point to include her friends in her life often and graciously entertaining all.


Marlene is survived by her husband, Sonny, of the home. Her Children Laurie Stephenson and husband, Wendell, of Lexington, Marla Bartet, of Lexington, Kurt Oetting, of Kansas City, Kyle Oetting and wife, Jill, of Lexington. Additional survivors include her grandchildren: Austin Stephenson and wife, Lauren, Garrett Stephenson and wife, Spencer, Collin Stephenson, Drew Bartet, Drake Oetting, Natalie Oetting, there is one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Stephenson. Also surviving is Marlene's sister Virginia "Ginny" Closson and husband, Jim, of Marshall, MO. as well as many nephews and nieces, extended family and a host of friends.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lois Anne McBride
