Marilyn Jean Grafton

Marilyn Jean Grafton, 59, of Lexington, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at her home.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South Street, Lexington, MO, 64067. The family will host a Celebration of Life will be on Sunday from 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm at The Elks Lodge, 801 Main Street, Lexington, MO, 64067. Marilyn was born on August 6, 1962, to Harold and Vivian (Seats) Oaks in Monmouth, Illinois. She attended Union High School in Illinois. She moved with her family to Arizona where she graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in Phoenix in 1980. Marilyn furthered her education at Arizona State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She was a devoted Registered Nurse for over 30 years with spending over 25 years at the Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington, MO. Marilyn was united in marriage to Terry Grafton on March 22nd, 1991 in Mobile, Alabama. She will be remembered for her love of traveling to the beach but most of all the love she had for her grandkids and family. Marilyn lived life to the fullest and was always putting others before herself.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Terry of Lexington, MO; her mother, Vivian Smith of Lexington, MO; three children, Brad Grafton of Lexington, MO, Dillan Grafton (fiancé, Maggie Miller) of Lexington, MO, and Dalton Grafton of Lexington, MO; two step-children, Tara Grafton of Oquawka, IL, and Shane Grafton of Oquawka, IL; six grandchildren, Kadence Grafton, Madalyn Grafton, Gavin Grafton, Tripp Grafton, Hudson Grafton, and Seaton Grafton; two sisters, Debbie (Fred) Link of Oquawka, IL and Anita (LeRoy) Brent of Oquawka, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and stepfather, Charles Smith.
