Marie Isabel Grubb

Marie Isabel (Jones) Grubb, 77 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at home. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Greenton Cemetery. Marie was born on January 3, 1947, in St. Louis, MO to Ralph O. Jones and Irene O. (Schlapper) Jones. She graduated in 1965 from Odessa High School. On January 29, 1966, Marie was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Joseph Grubb. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2015. Marie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Central Missouri State University. Marie worked for a short time at the Odessa Ice Cream Factory and the Odessa Sale Barn. She retired after 25 years of service from the Ft. Osage School District as the Marketing Education Teacher (D.E.C.A). Marie was a member of the M.R.T.A., Lifetime Member of the N.E.A., Odessa Historical Society, Old Hens Club, and D.A.R. Marie and Bob enjoyed antiquing road trips, traveling, canoeing, but most of all attending and supporting their children and grandchildren at their activities. 

Survivors include three children, Dina (Kris) Kehl of Odessa, MO, Robin (Kevin) Smith of Odessa, MO and Joe (Tami) Grubb of Odessa, MO; eight grandchildren, Katie Kehl, Kelsey Kehl, Rilan (Jacob) Smith Dickey, Rayna (Evan) Young, Regan (Luke) Tripp, Kylin (Ryan) Mantle, Kinly Grubb, and Kloee Grubb; seven great-grandchildren, Wyatt Dickey, Brandtt Dickey, Kortt Dickey, Nora Tripp, Faison Tripp, Fenton Young, and Wesley Mantle; two sisters, Karen (Glenn) Barker of Odessa, MO and Pam Jones of Denver, Colorado; three brothers, Larry (Carole) Jones of Odessa, MO, John (Jane) Jones of Overland Park, Kansas, and Denny Jones of Odessa, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by a grandson, Kade Kehl.
