ANNE HUDSON

Funeral services for M. Anne Hudson, 74 , of Odessa will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Odessa. Visitation for Mrs. Hudson will be held on Sunday, October 21 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, Odessa, Mo. from 5 to 8 pm. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Mo. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church or Aseara Care Hospice. Mrs. Hudson passed away on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Golden Living Care Center, Odessa. Mo. Margaret Anne Bowland was born on April 20, 1938 in Camden County, Missouri to Charley and Margaret Carley Bowland. She married Reverend Herman J. Hudson ,Jr. on April 12, 1957 in Knob Noster, Missouri. Mrs. Hudson had helped her husband with his ministry throughout his career. In addition she gave piano and organ lessons and was involved as the church organist, sang in the choir or was the choir director as well as a member of the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Hudson was an avid quilter throughout her life and she always was a member of the quilting guild at her church. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Herman J. Hudson, Jr. of the home, two sons, John Hudson and wife, Tracy, Willow Springs, Mo; James Hudson and wife Connie, Paola, Ks. There are 4 grandchildren Christopher, Craig, Cheryl and Heather as well as 2 great grandsons, Jonathan and Joshua and a step granddaughter, Kalli Moore. Also surviving is a brother, Simon Bowland, of Montana and a sister, Sarah Hallman of Chilhowee, MO. Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, John Daniel Hudson and a sister, Dorothy Calkin.
