Mable Louise Dennis, 93, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Odessa, MO surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524 with Reverend John Churchill officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Mt. Louise was born on February 4, 1922 in Centerview, MO to Louis and Goldie (Smith) Griffey. On December 31, 1947, she married Lester E. “Jack” Ehlert, in July of 1987 he preceded her in death. On June 10, 1995 she married Glenn E. Dennis who survives of the home. Louise spent the early part of her life as a farmer’s wife and a stay at home mom raising her four children. She had quite a green thumb and enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. In the mid 1960’s the family moved from the farm east of Mt. Tabor Church into Odessa. She began working away from home, first at Odessa R-7 High School Cafeteria and then Action Products and finally for New Haven Nursing Home. In 1987 she became a Certified Medication Aide and after retirement she continued volunteering for the Odessa Senior Center. Louise and Glenn loved to dance, especially waltzes. She was a member of the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church and prior was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for many years. Her greatest love in life was her family, and having them all together for the holidays.

In addition to her husband Glenn, Louise is survived by two daughters, Rosalyn Ehlert and Donna Ehlert Davis and Fiancée Billy McGrath and one son, Johnny Ehlert and daughter in law Sandy Ehlert, all of Odessa; grandsons Dean Ehlert and wife Kelly of Las Cruses, New Mexico, Rob Robinette and Fiancée Amy Isetts, Jaz Ehlert of Odessa, Bret Robinette of Oak Grove, MO, Chase Gilmore and wife Whitney of Harrisonville, MO, Jay Davis and wife Jaycee of Grain Valley, MO; one granddaughter, Bailey Kessler and husband Nick of Oceanside, CA; ten great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; two step daughters, Linda Dooling and husband Doug of Odessa and Cindy Meador and husband Tim; a step grandson, Greg Meador and two step granddaughters Chrissy and Elizabeth Meador all of Columbia, MO; a sister, Betty Murry of Odessa and a brother C.W. Griffey of Florida; other special family members include Dianna Ehlert , Tiffany Nelson and William Ware.

In addition to her parents and first husband Jack, Louise was preceded in death by her son Ray Ehlert and a brother Loyd Griffey.
