Funeral Mass for Mabel M. Stompoly-Owings will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 10 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday, from 9 am until service time. The Rosary will be recited prior to the Mass. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lexington. Memorials may be made to the Vitas Innovative Care Hospice or Immaculate Conception Church. Mrs. Stompoly-Owings died Saturday, May 28, 2011 Mabel Marie Koury was born on October 20, 1914 to Peter and Naomi Atchity Koury. Mrs. Stompoly-Owings had worked at the Ice Cream Shop in Lexington, then at the Shoe Store in Lexington and then at the Lake City Munitions plant. Mrs. Stompoly-Owings is survived by her two sons, Robert A. Stompoly and wife Bea, Lexington and Philip A. Stompoly and wife, Trudy, Lees Summit, MO . There are 4 grandsons and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Pete Koury, Jr. of Climax Springs, MO as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stompoly-Owings was preceded in death by her parents, 3 husbands, Elias Anton, Emmanuel Stompoly and Troy Owings and two sisters, Adele Doumitt and Jeanette Northington.
