Lulu Belle (Welch) Morris, 83 of Lexington, passed away November 12, 2019 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence. A memorial service will be Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Visitation will also be on Sunday at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Lulu Belle was born June 19, 1936 in Oregon, Missouri to Lynn and Lulu Mary (Waddell) Welch. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1955. She married Billy Skinner in Dover, Missouri in 1956. He preceded her in death in 1968. On February 12, 1971 Lulu Belle married Harold James Morris in Lexington. He preceded in death March 28, 1998. She worked as a nurse’s aide for over 10 years in the Wentworth Military Academy Infirmary. She was a member of Lexington First Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Lulu Belle enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
Lulu Belle is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Skinner of Lexington; grandson in law, David Derringer of Lexington; daughter, Linda Kay Turner and husband Michael of Lexington; granddaughter, Mikaylin Jonelle Turner of Lexington; and daughter, Lori Herpich and husband Paul of Lawrence, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, brothers, William and Robert Welch; sister, Marilyn Wood; and granddaughter, Shamika Moss.
