Lucille G. Mason, 83, of Lexington, MO passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at her home. Lucille Mason was born April 3, 1928 in Lexington, the daughter of William Garvin and Robert Mae Olden. She attended Douglas School in Lexington, graduating in 1946. She was a cook at the Lexington Greyhound Bus Cafe , Maibs Victory Restaurant, Lexington High School as head cook and ended her culinary career as a cook at the Lafayette County Jail. Lucille was an active member of the Second Baptist Church, where she served as President of Faithful Few Auxiliary, and Secretary of the Mothers Board. She presided over the kitchen at the church. Lucille was also a member of The Socialites social organization. Ms. Mason was preceded in death by her long-time companion, Eugene Mason, her parents, children; Lawrence �Larry�, Clifford, David, and Marsha. A grandson, Aaron Mason and a brother, Clarence� Tony� Garvin. She is survived by children: Ronald Mason, Lexington, Donald Mason, Kansas City, MO and Phyllis Mason of the home. There are 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Florence Cole. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Second Baptist Church in Lexington. Burial in Lexington Memory Gardens. Viewing for one hour before the service. Memorials may be made to the Second Baptist Church in Lucilles memory.
