Lori Lee Snelson, 53, of Bates City, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 in Wellington, Missouri.

Lori was born on January 10, 1967 in Kansas City, MO to Wilbur Eugene “Gene” and Helen “Leila” (Husted) Snelson. After graduating as the valedictorian from the Odessa High School class of 1985, she attended Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri, obtaining a bachelor’s degrees in engineering. Lori spent many years working as a technical writer and caring for her parents and family farm that consisted of raising, horses, chickens, and farming hay crops. In addition to spending time with friends, Lori was an avid cat lover and enjoyed making ceramics.
Survivors include significant other, Jerry Pate of Wellington, MO; close friends, Tammy Sullivan of Odessa, MO and Ronnie Anderson of Concordia, MO; and a cousin, Karen Whatley of Conroe, Texas.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents.
