Lola Creason was born August 8, 1927, in South Jordan, Utah to James Marley Jensen and Mildred Blake Jensen. She was one of eight children, four boys and four girls (one of the girls was her twin). She married her eternal companion Walter Ray Creason on March 7, 1952, in Draper, Utah. On March 22, 1985, Lola and Ray were sealed for all time and eternity in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Salt Lake City Temple. They were married for 56 years and 10 months.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as Librarian for many years in the Odessa and Concordia Wards. She graduated from Jordan High School and was a pitcher on the girls’ softball team. She was proud to be a Beetdigger and continued to love and follow baseball.
In her early years Lola worked for Sears. She loved watching the Kansas City Royals baseball on TV and in her later years at St Mary’s Manor was an avid and lucky Bingo player. She loved cooking, canning and published several recipes.
Lola is survived by brother-in-law, Glen Nelsen, many nieces and nephews, and friends who so dearly loved her.
Lola was preceded in death by her Eternal Companion Ray Creason, her parents, Marley and Mildred and siblings, Arnold, Stanley, Stella, LeRoy, Donald, Viola and her twin sister Nola.
Lola’s family and friends would like to thank the many health care workers at St Mary’s Nursing home in Blue Springs for the nearly six years of loving care she received there.
