Lois Sue (Kincaid) Slaughter, 78 of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Hill Crest Manor and Rehab in Hamilton, MO.
Due to the current restrictions, the family will have a private service. Interment will be in the Lee’s Summit Cemetery in Lee’s Summit, MO. Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Memories of Lois and condolences of her family may be left at

Lois was born on April 26, 1941 in Knoxville, MO to John Walter and Mildred Ruth (Ballew) Kincaid. After graduating high school Lois obtained certification as a Dietician and worked for the Lee’s Summit nursing home. She was married to Harold Edward Slaughter on October 20, 1979 in Kansas City, MO. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2016. She was a member of the Lineville-Mercer Christian Church. Lois and Harold always had a love for helping out, for many years they cared for countless foster children. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Lois enjoyed cooking, flowers and decorating.
Survivors include five children, Clifford Henley and wife Mindy of Hamilton, MO, Jacob Slaughter and Fiancé Rabecca Howard of Lexington, MO, Timothy Jerel Slaughter of Lexington, MO, Eric Slaughter of Raytown, MO and Ericka Winfield of Lexington, MO; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Daniel Kincaid.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by a son Charles Eugene Henley.
