Linda Kay (Skinner) Turner, 58, of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lee's Summit, MO.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 S. St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Mikaylin Turner for a donation to Cottey College at a later date. Linda was born on April 2, 1963, to William "Bill" and Lulu Belle (Welch) Skinner. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1981 and then went on to complete her Associates Degree from Cottey College in Nevada, MO. After completing her Associates Degree, Linda completed her LPN Degree from Lex-La-Ray Technical Center in Lexington, MO. She worked for Lafayette Manor Nursing Home and started the Alzheimer's Unit. Linda then went on to work for the Lexington Middle School as the School Nurse for many years until retiring in 2003. On December 21, 1990, she married Michael Turner in Lexington, MO. She was devoted to her faith and church, Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lexington, MO. Linda was a member of P.E.O. and also served as the Past-President. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Linda loved reading, puzzles, and cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Turner of Kansas City, MO; a daughter, Mikaylin Turner of Lexington, MO; three sisters, Mary Ann Skinner of Lexington, MO, Lori Herpich and husband Paul of Lawrence, Kansas, and Marcia Lynn and husband Greg of Hixson, Tennessee; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Bill Skinner, and her mother and stepfather, Lulu Belle and Harold Morris.
