Linda Lou Norris

Linda Lou (Anderson) Norris, 83 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at home surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023, at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2^nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2023, at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Odessa Cemetery.  Memories of Linda and condolences for her family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.  

Linda was born on December 2, 1939, in Commerce, Oklahoma to William and Bernice (Gunnet) Anderson.  She graduated from Commerce High School where she was a majorette in band.  On June 9, 1956, she was united in marriage to Jimmie Nelson Norris in Commerce, he preceded her in death on June 16, 2016.  Linda spent her time caring for and supporting her four daughters.  She loved flowers, watching T.V. and cooking for her family.  After raising her family, she started a career working at Evelyn’s Beauty Supply Co. Nelson and Linda then moved to Odessa where they spent the rest of their lives being around family, and friends, watching grandkids swim, and having BBQ’s.

Linda is survived by four daughters, Tammy Myers and husband Clay, Tonya Norris, Trena Norris, and Teanna O’Neill; Linda was known to her grandchildren as “Dah-Dah”; they are Tandra Keeton, Ken Myers, Cara Cox, and Keith Myers, Reilly, Alec, and Aidan O’Neill; eight great-grandchildren, Trenady and Adam Keeton, C.J. Gooch, Tayleanna Norris, Mason, Eli, and Ivy Cox, and Daniel Castillo; one great-great grandchild Raynee Knight; two nieces, Misti Ramsey and husband Bob and Brooke Killough; one nephew, Sonny Painter and wife Rebecca; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Norris and wife Charlotte and Guy Norris and wife Terri; and many relatives and friends. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Suzie Painter.
