Lewis Arna Watson, 83, of Sedalia, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Rest Haven Care Center in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday March 9, 2015 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, MO. Memorials are suggested to Crossroads Hospice, 9237 Ward Parkway, Suite 300, Kansas City, MO 64114. Lewis was born on July 12, 1931 in Licking, MO to Walter C. Watson and Avil Aris (Fisher) Watson. Lewis was married to Donna Jean (Hunter) Watson on October 26, 1969 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He worked in the shoe industry many years and retired from Wolverine Worldwide. In addition to spending time with his family and friends he liked farming.
In addition to his wife Donna, Lewis is survived by five children, Janet Shoenhair and husband Chuck of Dearborn, MO, Sandra Linder and husband John of Blue Springs, Nebraska, Jeana Killman and husband Sam of Carthage, MO, Terry Watson and companion Janet Bennett of Sedalia, MO and Chris Watson and wife Susan of Sturgeon, MO, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a brother, Leslie Watson and wife Jeannie of Odessa, MO, a sister Luella Faber and husband Ron of Easton, MO, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by a sister, Velma Mae Watson.
